After one day of driving we concluded we would have a MUCH better experience if we could just sit back and enjoy the beautiful country. My Irish Cousin put us in touch with Celtic Vacations, and Sadb worked diligently to find us a wonderful driver, Finbarr from Coopers Executive Travel, to "chauffeur" and guide us for 12 days of the itinerary, followed by a couple of other great drivers for the last few days. “We just completed a 16 day self drive trip around Ireland and we used Celtic Vacations to setup our accommodations. Sadb and Eimer were incredibly helpful in assisting with our planning and had suggestions on places to go and where to stay. We had a pretty good sense of where to go as this was our 4th trip tho the Emerald Isle. But trying to sort through all of the information and choices of where to stay was truly daunting. They gave us some fantastic recommendations including a two night stay at a 5 star castle in Donegal. We stayed in a combination of B&B's and hotels. All accommodations included breakfast. The hotels were very nice and I'm guessing 4 star hotels by the features offered. The B&B's were very lovely and the hosts so very nice. Celtic Vacations also took care of securing the rental car that included all of the necessary insurance. It was so easy with all of the reservations taken care of to just show up at a place to stay for the night with no worries. We would absolutely use them again on our next trip to Ireland.”
“Thanksgiving in Galway 2025. Sixteen of us--grandparents, parents, and grandchildren flying to Dublin and then traveling by Celtic Vacations bus to Galway for the week. One group delayed a day due to limited air traffic controllers in Newark, but not a problem as Celtic Vacations dispatch a driver on Sunday morning. We visited Cliffs of Moher, Aillwee Cave, bussed along the Skyline Road in Connemara and then to Kylemore Abby, Bunratty, Fitzgerald Woodlands Resort in Adare, and so much more. It was a memorable trip and the grandkids are still talking about it and are asking Papa where we going next year. Profound gratitude to Eóin Patrick Cashman (Managing Director, CV), Paddy Boyce (our intrepid and patient driver), and Willie Grace (the fixer for any problem).
